Court Operations – Customer Service Specialist, Navigator, Court Operations’ Specialist

Court Operations is an outreach of Court Administration focusing on the daily needs of the Court. 

The Customer Service Specialist has the primary responsibilities of assuring parties and attorneys check-in at the Court’s electronic kiosks for Court hearings, overseeing safety concerns and assists the public in evacuation drills. This position is also the main point of contact for answering telephone or in-person inquiries. 

The Court’s Navigator and Navigation Assistant have the responsibility to provide information about Court process and community resources to self-represented litigants. They assist getting parties connected virtually for the Volunteer Lawyers clinic and assist them in completing paperwork when they are seeking support in Domestic Violence cases.  Thess positions will also explain the court process on new cases and can point parties to resources in the court and throughout the community.

The Court Operations’ Specialists address the daily business of Court.  Responsibilities include inventory oversight and purchasing. Budget functions are initiated and coordinated by one of the Specialists, while the other head’s up scheduling interpreters for court hearings and other events.  In addition to these duties, the Court Operations’ Specialists maintain reports on civil protection order activity and completes data entry and mail runs daily. These staff continues to support health and safety of court participants, assure that sanitization standards and supplies are maintained throughout the facility.
